International mobilities - Non EU Countries

International mobilities to third countries outside of Europe under the Erasmus+ program provide unique opportunities for teachers and staff to engage in professional development in a global context.
Erasmus+ supports these mobilities by offering funding for activities such as job shadowing, teaching assignments, or attending professional development courses in non-European countries. This initiative promotes intercultural dialogue, strengthens international partnerships, and facilitates the exchange of best practices across borders. By participating in international mobilities, educators not only enhance their professional skills but also contribute to building a more inclusive and globally aware education system, ultimately benefiting both their schools and the broader international community.

Benefits for Participants:

  • Skill Enhancement: Educators can improve their teaching techniques and learn new approaches to address the needs of diverse student populations.
  • Personal Growth: Exposure to different cultures and educational systems broadens educators’ perspectives and contributes to personal development.
  • Collaborative Projects: Establishing connections with other European educators can lead to future collaborative projects and partnerships, enriching the educational experience for students.

Application and Participation:

  • Eligibility: Typically, these opportunities are available to teachers and professors working in primary and high schools across Europe, having achieved a EU funding from KA1 call process.
  • Funding: Many of these initiatives are funded through Erasmus+ programs, which provide financial support for mobility and professional development activities.
